Workshop: Make a frame basket - 21-22 March 2026

Join me in my basket shed in Telford, Shropshire to make a traditional frame basket with a handle. This two day workshop will introduce you to the principles of working with willow and key weaving techniques.

You will come away with a beautiful, functional basket that is perfect as a vegetable gathering or foraging basket. You will learn how to set a hoop and handle, make ribs and how to weave the basket.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Please bear in mind that basketry can be tough on the hands to start with and may not be suitable for those with limited hand strength. Please ask for more details if you are not sure.

All materials and tools will be provided. Please wear clothes suitable for working in and closed toe footwear. Drinks and refreshments will be provided, please bring your own packed lunch.
